Good movies provide us with entertainment, laughter and maybe a good scare. What are great movies, then? I feel that movies are great those that can provoke thought and make you feel like you want to change your life. There are few great movies but they are there. Most documentaries are in fact and are an excellent way to learn, especially for people who do not enjoy reading.
In today's world, documentaries are little valued and advertising and therefore very few people watch them. That is a great pity, especially in times of major problems such as global warming and international terrorism. Sometimes, all you need to do is sit and watch documentaries shake ourselves, and look at the world differently, from a broader perspective, far from work, work, work.
Too many people watch movies that have no real goals, as well as for the sake of fun. Watching movies is a good hobby, but we need to focus more on improving and advertising appeal of documentaries, and learn from them. Some documentary teaches us about the protection of endangered animals, some talk about global warming no longer be just a threat, but its sad how some people really see them. We're not seeing the things we need to see. The following are some few documentary films worth seeing and each teaches us something different. They shake your head.
An Inconvenient Truth
I this is the most watched documentary of all, probably because of the starring then-Vice President Al Gore. Directed by Davis Guggenheim, the film conveys Al Gore thoughts on global warming and leads a very serious message: If you do not save the planet, we will not save ourselves. I think this is a great educational film and must be shown in schools to educate the next generation. Meanwhile, current generations should see, too, and see it over and over again until the message is clear head.
Super Size Me
This is a good film that can disturb the fast-food restaurants. Morgan Spurlock, the main character of the film, only eats Big Macs and other foods of MacDonald for a period of 30 days. At the end of it, it becomes very obese and that's not all. Obesity aside, men also suffer from mood swings and liver damage and other health and mental risks. This movie provokes us to think about the relationship between food, health and the benefits of fast food establishments.
Problem Water
The story revolves around an aspiring rap artist and her husband and Hurricane Katrina. When Katrina hit, the two were trapped in New Orleans due to the Great Flood. When survive the disaster, which dealt to live his life differently.
Sicko
Another great movie that tries to awaken the masses, Sicko explores the lack of health insurance America and the pharmaceutical industry. Hit the target as the zoom in the movie about the horrible number of Americans without health insurance and how insurance fraud and bureaucracy affect even the insured.
A walk to beautiful
This award-winning film tells the stories of five women in Ethiopia
suffering of horrific childbirth injuries, so they are despised by his men and their society. Discouraged, the women decide to travel to Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital in the hope of finding cure and a new life.
Taxi to the Dark Side
The film was screened this year and tells the story behind the death of an Afghan driver found at Bagram Air Base, a U.S. territory. The film pokes fun at the undeniable practice of using torture to interrogate has a great sense against the administration of President Bush.
Long night's journey into Day
The theme of the winning film is racial segregation, forced by the South African government. This is a poor country that tries to make peace and heal the wounds that are deep, because of social segregation.
