If we admit or even think about it, air pollution is a real problem, which continues to affect our environment and our lives every day. Although people living in rural areas is easy to forget that a problem exists (as they see the smog and factories on a daily basis) or remember their causes (fewer cars on the roads), is a very real problem that affects everyone. Sometimes we simply can not ignore this type of pollution. For example, when switching to a pumping plant cloud of smoke into the sky, or when standing in a traffic jam smelling exhaust from cars in front of us, it's hard not to imagine what harm it is doing to our bodies.

What is air pollution?
Air pollution consists of various types of chemicals and gases are passed to the atmosphere. The main cause of this pollution are unwanted vehicles. Second to that are industrial factories that release of dirty and dangerous smoke in the atmosphere.

Why is it dangerous air pollution?

  • Health reasons: pollution has been linked to many types of diseases like stroke, heart problems and breathing problems.
  • Global Warming: Pollution Air pollution is responsible for global warming. This phenomenon leads to the gradual but persistent increase in temperature of our planet. It has already begun to affect ecosystems integers, and if not stopped, the ice caps are melting which will raise the sea level. This will cause flooding in coastal cities like New York and London.
  • The layer of ozone air pollution causes the ozone layer to shrink, reducing their ability to protect us from ultraviolet radiation. This not only causes skin cancer, but also harms wildlife and plants.
  • Acid rain: some pollutants can cause rain to turn to acid rain. This has a major impact on animals, fish and plants that are immersed in it. Acid rain may also affect the soil, causing toxic soil for many animals and plants.

How can we fight air pollution?

  • One way would be to use hybrid vehicles. These vehicles produce about a quarter of the pollution of the average vehicle. Imagine the global impact if all the world began to drive such vehicles.
  • Using green energy, like wind power, solar energy, electricity, hydro, geothermal and biomass energy, instead of using fossil fuels for energy, also have a major impact on air pollution.

Since this problem only seems to get worse over time, and we can get to the point that damage to the environment irrevocably, the only logical solution is that achieve worldwide ways that reduce air pollution in the hope that eventually, some day, be eliminated. Perhaps the only way this can be achieved is through education: while most people are familiar with air pollution and how it occurs, and in general are aware of its effects, many prefer Turn the head to one side instead of addressing this growing problem. The only way to overcome this problem is to start with young people: if we, collectively, can get our descendants to permanently change their ways to learn from our mistakes, then perhaps there is hope for our planet – and ourselves.
