differences between global warming and greenhouse effect

by admin on April 28, 2010

Global warming is one of those songs that I still wonder what to believe really. Is it really our production of CO2 the culprit in global warming? Or is there some other big influences in play. I have a hard time believing mankind's activities are to blame for any kind of climate change.

After all, CO2 is one of many greenhouse gases can affect the warming trend. Water vapor is by far the most abundant and effective influence in the greenhouse problem. But I do not see any public concern about the evaporation of water from any manner whatsoever. Well, I realize that there is little or even nothing I can do about it, but the point is that CO2 is only a small fraction of the greenhouse gases that affect our climate. So if water vapor is by far the largest greenhouse gas, then why are we so obsessed by the man-made CO2? ego of humanity.

We see a small trend in the increase in temperature of the planets and of course we assume to be what we are doing. I am really pleased to see that We are taking an interest in reducing pollution from cars and industry but really I have my doubts about the connection to global warming at least significantly in the media would like us to believe.

The media has sounded the alarm bell, of course, sell more periodic reporting to the minus end predictions surrounding the warming trend. Climate models produced by scientists predict a reduction in temperature differences between the poles and equatorial regions. This will reduce the number of violent tropical storms, and there will be less of a discrepancy temperature to stimulate them. Also, the heating of the regions near the poles allow agricultural activities in areas where it was not possible before. Production food could be increased accordingly. The alarmist media is not interested in that type of story it seems.

The change in world temperature is just that, change. There is compelling evidence that global temperature has and probably always will be changing, regardless of what we are doing. What we are so afraid? "The alarmists doubt man's capacity to adapt and cope with a few degrees of temperature change or rising sea levels one meters or so? There will undoubtedly be difficulties and some displaced people in some regions, but the man has the ability to adapt and change. We have demonstrated through the centuries. I am sure that not only survive these changes, but also learn to use them to our advantage.

I live in Canada and if you ask anyone living north of the temperate zone on the rising temperatures blunt answer would be "bring it on, we could use a little global warming around here. "Life will greatly enhance a large number of people in the world with a couple of degrees increase in global temperatures. Migration to areas that were previously considered uninhabitable by most of them have a more moderate climate that allows agricultural and other activities. You can not sell newspapers with stories well.

Scientific data indicates that 1998 was the warmest year on record. The planet has been cooling since then. A quote from Dr. Oleg Sorokhtin of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences Earth is in the top of a hot spell it passes, it will start getting cold by 2012, and very, very cold around 2041. "So who are we to believe? A respected scientist or Al Gore, who has won millions of his crusade for the planet and its questionable agenda and pseudo false science.

If the planet is getting warmer I can honestly say I hope so. Let's get ahead, and probably do well in the process. What really worries me is the muzzling of real science in the debate. One objective of the media will go a long way in helping us all cope with the facts as they really are. Focusing on the alarmist perspective which only causes excessive fear is not guaranteed.

Are driving our SUVs and minivans really the problem here? Or is our planet is just going through a new climate cycle as it has done so many times before? All we know for sure is that I can not have the means media to provide the answers.
