
Water is everywhere. We use water every day for many different reasons. Our bodies main ingredient is water, which constitute over 70% of all molecules in our bodies. Water is also the basic building block of life on earth. Without it, would not exist. Although, water covers over 70% of the earth's surface, not all water is potable. It is not only 3% of drinking water in the soil. This is why water conservation is very important and will be even more important in the near future. In 2010, many companies and organizations are promoting water conservation.
Mono Lake in California Community has launched a new campaign this year to help make the home entertainment conservation of water and increases awareness. They door hangers to print via the web to put on the front door of residence to others applaud them both and show another place of residence have taken an initiative in the conservation of lake waters. There is also another hanging on the door to print to allow a resident to know that someone has noticed a problem with the use of water from a resident and make suggestions on how to solve the problem of water overuse.
UC Berkley has designed a campus energy and water they call campaign "WATCH U.S. GO GREEN." They have created several posters with the First World War Second World War and retro feel, to educate and encourage students and staff to energy and water conservation throughout the campus. The posters have tips on how everyone can do their part in the campus to conserve water and energy.
The company Coca-Cola products is sponsoring a campaign called "Half Bucket of Water Conservation Campaign." This campaign is aimed at young people on the conservation of water resources through cartoons and other animations to make learning about water conservation fun and interesting. This campaign is sponsored by the Foundation for the Conservation of Ocean Park in Hong Kong or OPCFHK for short.
These are only three different initiatives in late 2009 and the beginning of 2010. There are many other campaigns to launch all the time. With the conservation of water awareness increasing, we expect spark more interest in the efficient use of our land resources "most precious natural, water.
