Equipping a home with wind power Getting Started
I am considering equipping a home in west Texas (11 acres of land, plenty of room) with wind generators to provide electricity to the property. Where to begin? The windmills can generate enough energy for the home, how is the C / A bound in the home and power swing of the electric company? Any ideas? Thank you.
Check out http://www.awea.org/faq/rsdntqa.html AWEA website. This should start in the right place. I know that the initial investment for a 10 kW turbine is around 15,000 dollars. By generating more energy than you need, the power company and is used to pay for it (not much, though, as you would pay for electricity). Plan to purchase batteries to store excess energy as well as times when it is less wind or the plan is still in an electric bill so far. Often, people use wind and solar energy systems to support each other. Normally at least one will be the generation of electricity.
