Building your own DIY solar panels to power their home energy needs is all the rage these days. Contrary to common perception, this does not require high technical knowledge or skills. The best thing is, any ordinary, with the inclination and the skills can make your own DIY right solar panel in your own backyard. Here’s how you can do it and cut their energy bills for good.
Where do I start?
If you are looking to build your own solar panel yourself, you may want to consider buying on eBay for the second factory altered cell solar. You can buy 36 pieces of 3×6 (inches) of mono-crystalline solar cells, to produce a total of 18 volts, enough to charge 12 volt batteries. These cells are very thin and fragile, so vendors usually keep a stack of 18 cells of wax. Since the elimination of wax is a problem, try to get the cells without the stabilization of the wax. Make sure the cells have solder tabs.
Next Steps
The next step in building your DIY solar panel is to make a shallow box (without lid and base made of a plywood and wood edges) to accommodate at 36 cells. Place a thin, but rigid, material for the completion of the road slightly to fit into the well of the box. You also receive a sheet of transparent glass to cover and protect the cell box from the weather. Apply several layers of paint on the frame and the non-completion of form on all sides.
If you unable to obtain the cells without reinforcement of wax is better than groups of immersion in hot water to melt the wax away and separated from the cells. Then cleaned in a soap solution and dry completely. Notice, however, the cells are very fragile and brittle, so pay special attention when cleaning.
The next thing I do is draw lines on the non-completion of the road to mark the placement of the cells to avoid moving repeatedly. You need Welding all 36 cells (you can do them in the compartments of 18 for convenience) in series. Welding is another sensitive issue, as the cells are very thin. Use appropriate low voltage welding and soldering iron very lightly to avoid breaking the cells.
After the cells are soldered in series, glue them on the failure to conduct the sheet to hold in place. Put some glue in the center of each square in the sketch drawn earlier and gently lay the cells in the worksheet correctly. Paste cells in the center only, not at all, because the cells or the expansion from contraction of the temperature damage the cell.
Then anchor panels in the box with screws and connect the panels properly. Place a blocking diode in series to prevent the discharge of the batteries during the night or cloudy weather. This diode is set at the positive lead and, finally, the cables are connected to a unit charge of the battery.
As explained above, it is difficult to build solar power source. This is essentially a series of basic steps, but requires that you stick with it and see through the process.
