organisms for recycling human waste
How are urban ecosystems with human waste?

In a natural ecosystem, the waste from the organisms that live there are usually decomposed and recycled in the ecosystem. How are urban ecosystems with human waste? What other wastes are created in urban ecosystems? What be done with them?

In large cities, the sewage goes to the central processing facility where it is processed through a variety of methods, including the solution (to separate solids from liquids), chlorine (to kill pathogens unpleasant), microbial activity (down as much solids as possible) part. The waste water is treated with chemicals and then normally is released into rivers or put back into the city water supply. Solids can be treated with a number of ways. They can be made in sludge used as industrial fertilizer, which can be incinerated, can be put into a landfill. More often now before its final destination being used to produce methane gas as energy source. New York City is a schematic diagram of much of its process treatment of waste: http://www.nyc.gov/html/dep/images/features_widecolumn/wastewater_treatment_process_layout_lg. jpg Other Waste: All our rubbish including waste food, waste paper, glass, metal, chemicals. Most go to landfill. Some were burned. Some are recycled.
