What is the difference between different types of solar panels.?
I was wondering if anyone can compare the differnce between the types of solar panels thin-film panels, ribbon silicon chain, Cast polysilicon, polycrystalline silicon panels and mono-crystalline silicon panels. thankyou
Of Single crystal silicon solar cells have been the most widely used. They are also the most expensive form of solar cell and are largely responsible for the reputation solar energy as expensive. Polycrystalline solar cells are cheaper than the monocrystalline silicon solar cells, but not as effective in converting the energy. thin-film technology has the advantage of being easier to mass produce the technology of crystal cell. It costs less, but its durability is questionable. Thin film is also less efficient than silicon crystal, according to most sources. Monocrystalline and polycrystalline cells each can last several generations, while the thin film technology is newer – less expensive but also less durable.
