Is any use made of modern transport ships to use wind energy, as sailboats they did?
With fuel costs ever increasing, any help at all would reduce costs; I remember that a Japanese ship with rotors to generate electricity.

There have been recent designs and experiments using candles Again, not as a single drive, but as an addition to the engines. These, of course, now controlled by the computer and some are made of metal instead of canvas
