This is the first collection of stories by the prolific author LE Modesitt, Jr. The nineteen stories, ranging from hard science fiction to fantasy, are intelligent and reflection. Despite the short form of the characters are well developed with a true understanding of motivation, and intriguing plots do each successful reading.
This diverse collection begins with a story first published in 1973. "The Great American economy" was a harbinger of today's computer-related crime. Computer technology is used to manipulate the legal system of "rule of law." It is another story that anticipates the future, in this case the teams are used to develop profiles of criminal trials.
