Wind farms!?
Im all for these wind farms! If they can produce 400 megawatts of power for homes, why not? A. Why the Kennedys and their "rich snob"-political-ass me stop a developer from placing a few in Cape Cod? With the winds that blow from the sea, which should help with power.
First, they are not profitable – even when there is an offer of wind farms, will still need stations if power for the frequent occasions when there is no wind. Second is an environmental disaster – ruining beautiful scenery, and making a slight but worrying the constant noise. Using technology and materials necessary to do that has an adverse environmental effect. It takes almost 200 years in ideal conditions, to save energy needed for its manufacture. I could go on – but the main point is that the fashion of wind farms is making some companies – who have reached the Gravy Train – very rich.
